Teens & adults
Start with no belt
Teen and adult hours for beginners. Athletic clothes are enough for class one.

Quick answer: Teens and adults can start with no belt. Book a trial and say the student’s age so they land in a teen or adult hour, not a kids class.
Can a teenager start martial arts with no experience?
Yes. Teen hours exist so a 13-year-old is not placed with preschoolers.
Is 40 too old to start martial arts?
No. Adult beginner hours are for people who never trained as kids. Tell the coach about knees or backs.
Can a 70 year old learn martial arts?
If you can follow directions and flag injuries, an adult hour can work. This is not sparring night unless you ask for it.
Is taekwondo or jiu jitsu better for adults?
Striking and forms: Taekwondo. Grappling: BJJ. Many adults try both during the two-week trial.
What should adults wear to the first class?
Athletic clothes and water. A uniform comes after you pick the program.
What teens and adults can expect in class
Che Ko teen and adult classes are built for students who want structure, fitness, focus, and practical martial arts training without needing previous experience.
Beginner-friendly training
Students start with fundamentals and build from there. Coaches introduce skills in a clear order so new students can learn safely, ask questions, and improve at a realistic pace.
Fitness, focus, and confidence
Class gives teens and adults a consistent place to move, train, and work toward goals. The focus is steady progress, not proving yourself on the first day.
A clear next step
If you are deciding between teen/adult martial arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or another Che Ko program, start with a trial and ask which class best matches your goal.
